Authorizing Senders

Entering a complete email address will give permission for mail to be sent to you from that address. If you enter a domain only, you will allow all mailboxes on that domain to send you mail. See the submittal form.
Most folks will add the domains of their local ISPs, since spam rarely originates from such easily traceable sources. Once you have authorized an entire domain, you need not add individual addresses that are on that domain.
Additionally,  if you shop online you may wish to permission the online stores that you frequent, as well as domains like UPS.com, and the like, so that you can receive your  order confirmations and tracking numbers.
The best way to ensure authorization of all desired addresses and domains, is to first submit your address book. After that, you may want to browse through the mail in your inbox and submit any legitimate addresses or domains that you have received mail from, and wish to continue to receive mail from, in the future. Once you're done, you will get ZERO SPAM and ZERO FALSE ALERTS. You will need to think ahead a little when you give your email address to a friend or online store, and remember to permission their addresses or domains. If someone who does not have your permission, attempts to send you mail, that mail will be flatly rejected, and in most cases, will not even be allowed to leave the sender's outbox.
